Number 1, their reputation, they won’t refer anyone who they feel with lower their reputation with their clients. Number 2, is the result for the client, if they do refer you and you don’t get a great result for the client they won’t refer you again .

This is important because like any healthy relationship, if you can help them get what they want, they will help you get what you want.!

The second secret is you need to educate the doctor on exactly how to refer you otherwise they won’t.

The main thing to understand here is that if you make it unclear to the doctor on exactly how to refer you, they typically won’t because they are busy and your business is not as important to them as it is to you.

This means not only are you going to get referred, but the client will also be primed and ready to go because GP’s have a lot of respect and trust from their patients.

The third secret is you do not catch their attention in the right way.

For ongoing referrals you need to nurture your relationship with GP’s and it does not need to take much extra time or effort.

This is key because you don’t just want referrals coming in for the next few weeks, you want referrals to be coming in each week, every week. GP’s are busy and unless you stay top of mind, you and your business will be forgotten.
